Megan Ayers (formerly Nasche) began dancing at the age of three while growing up in the suburbs of Kansas City. Throughout her early years, Megan grew her love for dance in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, hip hop, modern, and contemporary while training at Le Dance Studio and the Kansas City Ballet. She danced competitively throughout high school and attended Oklahoma City University's "Broadway Bound" Summer Intensive in 2017. Megan also had the unique opportunity to perform in Benicássim, Spain with Hartel Dance Group in 2018.

 

Megan attended Point Park University's College of Performing Arts where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance with a concentration in Jazz and a minor in Business Management. While in school, Megan performed works choreographed by Bob Fosse, Martha Graham, Kiesha Lalama, Jessica Lang, Rozana Sweeney, and Ursula Payne. She was also exposed to new genres such as African, Latin Ballroom, House, Waacking, Locking, Heels, and Belly Dancing.

 

Megan set her first choreographic work for the stage entitled Honest Art in the Fall 2022 Student Choreography Project. Concurrently, she explored dance on film with Hybrid Media Productions- a video production company she co-founded in 2021. Megan has choreographed and performed in many videos produced by Hybrid Media such as Scared, R.I.P., Walk Away, I Told You, and Get It Get It. In addition, Megan participated in extracurricular dance clubs such as Impulse, Reform, and Sole. At the conclusion of her junior year, Megan was recognized for her outstanding achievement in Jazz, and was awarded the Ron Tassone Memorial Scholarship. Outside of school, Megan received her first professional contract with the Pittsburgh CLO to perform in the annual Rock Steelers Style charity fashion show held at Stage AE.

 

Shortly after, Megan completed multiple contracts with WOW! Entertainment and Six Flags Over Texas as they debuted new "Fright Fest" and "Holiday in the Park" variety shows. Megan was credited as Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer for her collaboration with Eamon Foley on these new works entitled FREAKSHOW and Christmas at the Southern Palace. While deepening her love of theatre, Megan also enjoys freelance gig work- she is on talent rosters for several corporate entertainment companies such as: That's Entertainment KC, Scarlett Entertainment, and A-MAX Entertainment. ​

Megan is currently located in Austin, Texas. She's known for her roles in the following regional productions:

 

Elf: The Musical (Ensemble) | TexARTS Theatre. Additionally, Megan choreographed Mean Girls and Alice in Wonderland Jr. for TexARTS 2025 Academy Season.

These productions have been nominated for several local awards from the B. Iden Payne Council, Broadway World Austin, and Austin Theatre Critics including: Best Choreography and Best Ensemble!

Recently, Megan became a faculty member of ZACH Theatre's Pre-Professional Company and Academy and has enjoyed teaching and choreographing for their annual Showcase and Summer Camps. Megan is thrilled to be joining the company of A Christmas Carol (Ghost Dancer, Ensemble) on the Topfer Stage this year! Soon after, she will debut another choreographic work for Cedar Park High School's upcoming production of Curtains.​

Megan has been blessed to work with so many talented creatives. She strives to be a part of the creative process on both sides of the table- aspiring to have a career not only in performance based roles, but also in choreography, casting, and higher education.

 

Throughout her artistic endeavors, Megan hopes to spread authenticity, laughter, and open-mindedness. In her free time, Megan has developed a new passion for fitness, and enjoys spending time with her cat, Dream.
